Parris Island Cadence
Просмотров 1,8 млн15 лет назад
The cadence of Parris Island is the continual training of recruits. As one platoon graduates, there's a herd of new recruits to be trained in exactly the same manner. And all over the island the cadence calls of the Drill Instructors lead the way.

Welcome Home - Vietnam Veterans Memorial 1982
Sick bay commandos in sneakers at the back rear of the platoon😂
MCRDSD 14Aug63 our favorite cadence was "i don't know but i was told eskimo pussy is mighty cold"
I will always remember that special proud feeling.
Platoon 2079, October 85’
Platoon 1050 Bravo Company PI 1986 Semper Fi!
What is the DI saying in the beginning of the video when it shows the building with United States Marines on it? Something tango and they echo take their head.
1989 sept 29th. I left there a man. A UNITED STATES MARINE. Noone can ever take away my espirit de corps. SEMPER FI

Mike Co, PLT 3085 3BN SD CA - 1985. I do it all over again. Semper Fi.
My son graduated from MCRD in December of 2013. He served 4 years. During that time he spent 6 months in Afghanistan. He was honorably discharged as a full corporal. Semper Fidelis and ooh rah from the father of a marine to all who have served the Corp honorably.
There’s nothing like hearing deep, booming male voices at the crack of dawn. Watching and hearing a brigade of men forming up, you can’t but feeling proud 50+ years ago. I’m not sure hearing a squeaky, high pitched command will evoke the same feeling.
Awsome brings back memories that only jarheads know
Did my basic wearing the old BDUs, shining boots and ironing and starching lol
Memories of marching around the old 3rd Bn Parade Deck, back in Oct-Dec 1973, Plt 395, India Co, 3rd RTB. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sergeant
i was on PI in 1995....your first few weeks there are such chaos and mentally stressing...it wasnt until we had learned to Drill some and started to march....my DI started his cadence...and i actually said "im doing it!" after dreaming of being a marine since i was 12..."im fuckin doing it!"
Marine Recruits that could read and write were sent to San Diego.
The Corps made me into a MAN!!! ❤❤❤
For me, itwas 40 years ago. Platoon 2038, series 2036,F Company, 2nd Bn, RTR, Parris Island...
I really want an extended version of this. The marine cadences sound amazing.
Parris Island MCRD 1965 is there any other place a Marine comes from LOL!!! Semper Fi Marines!!!!!
MARINE CORPS HANDS DOWN IS THE SHARPEST DRESSED BRANCH
Don't congregate in multi story buildings in indian country. Bivouac in hootches in the field like you were meant to.🇺🇸 #fortyyearsago
The U.S.Marines don't get the credit they deserve Americans best 💯🇺🇸👍
Thank you for your service!!!!
Looks like their destination was Leatherneck Square.
Yep... Us Hollywood Marines had it made because, we knew the Marines at PI. Were the baddest Marines. So we let them do all the hard stuff, and then in combat we always looked for, and located Marines from PI. to be the ones who went in first while us Hollywood Marines would sit in the rear, and yuk it up... Thanks for still lovin us...
Hairs on the back of my neck are at Attention... Memories SFMF !
Jarhead Cadence is so boring.
I think it would be so funny if some “Hollywood’ Marine stomped your ass til your own mama didn’t know you. Cpl D. Roberts 69/72 PI
YUT !!! FI RAH...
I'm a Parris Island grad from 2004 platoon 1030 "dirty 30" what SDI called us. Anybody hear the story while at the rifle range about the SDI who got drunk and took his recruits through the swamps? What an experience the Marine corps was. Sand fleas were the worst. Many hours standing at attention and waiting for everyone to stop slapping and scratching.
This brings back memories and goosebumps!#semperfi
I am watching this for my FIRST time on 22July2023. I never was aware of it until now. At least some Americans said thank you but I note it took several years.
What year is this? My sweet husband joined in 1967 before he graduated high school!!!!!
I joined the marine corps in chicago. March of 1963. I joined at the downtown post office on the fourth or fifth floor. They housed us at the YMCA until we left for boot camp. ANYONE ELSE JOIN THERE ???
Video looks of despair and bad decisions
I was in the first platoon 3080 year 1997
Holy shit. I caught this in a short. Came looking for the original. The short didn't say March 1997! I was there in 1997 but a couple months later. Literal chills thinking I may be once of those fresh faced bastards!
I qualified
I thought I was going to be able to sit down and rest like the rest of the United States army JROTC they said you have Marines in two days you're going to Parris Island great Parris Island
They must have thought I was marching in formation for fun or something I don't think that is
I love how they took a shot at san Diego. At first i thought, "What happened at UCLA? An accident? Active shooting? Did marines die?" "Nah son. San Diego marines suck!"
Probably enroute to chow …
SARGENTO é o CÃO🔪💀
Wait for the action to finish
We all remember the first time it all comes together for our platoon---all the heels striking the deck in unison, all the ranks straight and aligned, and our DI's cadence making each one of us feel as if we are seven feet tall. A great feeling and one we never forget.
2nd Batt.PLT.2072.1978...MIGHT BE 43 YEARS AGO, STILL HAVENT FORGIVEN ANY 😂 jodi's
